Double Stamping

The base is the usual 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" scored at 4 1/4". The center stamped mat is 3" x 4 1/2". Using temporary adhesive, attach it to the base and stamp your image all over. There will be a slight gap in the stamping around the mat. Then lift the mat off, cut a solid mat at 3 1/4"x 4 3/4" and attach to the back of the stamped mat. Attach this to the base card and the gaps disappear. Then decorate as desired.

SU products used:

Cardstock: So Saffron, Cajun Craze, Whisper White
Inks: Cajun Craze, Always Artichoke, and Early Espresso
Stamp Sets: Field Flowers (122760) and Papillon Potpourri (123757)
Apothecary Accents Framelits (127003)

For the sentiment, I cut the mat from the same framelit and cut the piece in to fourths. I then attached it to the back of the sentiment. ( If you look close, you will see small gaps, but they do not take away from the matting.)

Have a great day, and thanks for stopping by!!!

One more "Sentimental"

If you have been checking in, you know that this is now one of my favorite sets earned from the SAB sale. Another simple card with a lot of sponging on vanilla with Early Espresso ink. The tickets are from the spring catty (good til May 31) called That's the Ticket (128072). I held them together with a mini paper clip and mounted them with dimensionals (104430). The sentiment is also mounted on dimensionals. I cut it out with the Apothecary Accents Framelits (127003), then cut the same frame from Early Espresso cardstock, cut it in fourths and attached it to the back. This leaves a tiny gap between the pieces, but is barely noticeable and it looks so much better with the dark outline.

I hope you have a really great day, and I thank you for stopping by!!!!

Tulips from owl punch

These tulips were created with the owl builder punch (#118074).  Punch out the owl body, cut the feet off and cut two petal/leaves from each one, coming up from the bottom center to the "ear" in a curved cut. Sponge color around each one to add dimension and put the flower together. The buttons were also created from cardstock. Punch out a circle the size needed for the button twice, punch two small holes in the center and glue on top of each other. Punch out two more smaller circles, then use the original punch to punch out a ring from the hole in the cardstock. Glue these two pieces on top of the first and there is your button. Hope that makes sense to you! I then coated them with Crystal Effects (101055). The doily (129399) is cut in half and added to the card.

Enjoy and thanks for stopping by!

An apple a day

Here is a fun card. Take two card bases of 6 1/4" x 10". Cut from one corner on each one to 2 3/4" above the opposite corner to angle the top of the card, on each piece. Score each piece at 4", 6" and 8". Adhere the two backs (the 4") piece together and decorate as desired.

There are so many ways to decorate. I plan to make several and hope you enjoy making them also.

Have a great day and thanks for stopping by!!!

Golden Butterfly

I hope everyone had a really nice Easter! We had a big family gathering, which is always nice. Even did a little crafting together, besides decorating eggs. This is one of those cards. It is simple and so elegant! If you look closely, you will see the pearls and embossing on the base, too.
